Our Leadership: Christopher "Chris" Jaeger, Managing Director

A seasoned executive leader who successfully led large government missions domestically and abroad and managed and grew multimillion-dollar profit and loss businesses for one of the most respected U.S. government contracting organizations. Chris’ recent General Dynamics Mission System (GDMS) experience includes managing and overseeing a challenging 150 million USD+ portfolio of strategic programs supporting the U.S. Intelligence Community and U.S. Department of Defense. These programs and offerings addressed the spectrum of terrestrial, maritime, air, space, and cyber technical challenges. His duties also entailed growing key allied partner programs in the Asian Pacific region, including ongoing support of the most pressing security concerns related to China.

Before industry, Chris served as a CIA Deputy Assistant Director and in other senior positions, with the last ten years at the executive level, where he led several hundreds of officers in domestic and overseas locations and managed budgets approaching one billion USD. He also routinely worked with senior appointed and elected officials from the highest levels of the U.S. Government, including cabinet secretaries and U.S. military four-star level commanders. Interspersed throughout his time in government were several overseas assignments. He coordinated directly with allied countries’ senior government officials, including in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the historical GWOT “war zones.”

Chris holds a USG security clearance and maintains Turkish language proficiency, with previous French, Greek, and German proficiencies.

**Customer Relationships and Needs Assessment.** Drawing on extensive USG services, partnerships, and experience in various foreign locations, along with two years of close collaboration with a key member of the U.S. Military Industrial Complex, Chris provides insights into “what keeps customers up at night.” He offers strategies and practical knowledge for evaluating current and future needs, particularly concerning the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) and allied foreign partners. Chris's strengths include expertise in the IC and DOD Special Missions units, along with cultural and business insights gained from significant overseas experience in Asia and Europe, including Japan, Korea, and Turkey.

**Strategy Development.** Helping to refine your message and address customers’ most pressing question: Why you? As a successful senior executive responsible for over $150M in profit and loss business and as a senior USG executive, Chris has the expertise to help companies deliver a more direct and focused message about their products and services.

**Organizational Change Management.** Implementing meaningful change while also securing “buy-in” from the workforce. Chris has considerable experience as a senior leader directly involved with significant USG modernization efforts. He also provided informal advice to General Dynamics Mission Systems regarding their efforts to realign engineering leadership and workforce models.

**Leadership Coaching and Speaking Engagements.** Chris welcomes opportunities to share practical experiences as a leader in war zones, at a key U.S. embassy overseas during the GWOT, and as a leader within the CIA. He also discusses lessons learned while transitioning from life as a senior USG official to that of a successful business executive. Highly regarded as an experienced and thoughtful leader, Chris is open to sharing leadership lessons in one-on-one settings, small groups, and larger forums settings.
